Apparently eager to shepherd us into a world where people proudly display their non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, on their smart TV screens, Samsung has announced that its 2022 TV lineup will include built-in support for browsing, purchasing, and showing off NFT art.

Just like Samsung’s doing with the NFTs on its TVs, it looks like LG is hoping users will display the NFTs on their TV when it’s not in use (which sounds like a few extra bucks on my energy bill that I’d rather not spend).

The latest comes from Samsung, which revealed a new “NFT Aggregation Platform” designed for its smart TVs. The platform, which will be available on Samsung’s MicroLed, Neo QLED and The Frame models, allows users to browse and buy NFTs directly from their sets.

Does Nifty gateway work with Samsung TVs?

In a press release, Nifty Gateway says that it’s “now integrated with Samsung’s NFT platform,” letting you “browse, display, and interact with NFTs” on the company’s “2022 premium TV product lines such as QLED and Neo QLED TV.” Nifty Gateway will also have an app on Samsung’s The Frame and Micro LED TVs.
